Company Profile: 

The client is a leading insurance company in Malaysia with more than 20 years of experience. The company offers comprehensive insurance solutions to individuals and businesses, serving over 700,000 Malaysian customers.  

Past Hurdles:

The company currently employs over 200 employees in 10 offices nationwide. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, their employees struggled with adapting to working from home in the New Normal, causing a loss in productivity. These challenges include: 

  • Employee wellbeing has been negatively impacted due to deep fatigue and stress caused by the pandemic. This has led to a decrease in morale and productivity
  • While insurance is considered an essential service and a fixed number of employees are allowed to work from the office, the client found it time-consuming to manage the ins and outs of employees and were unable to monitor if all employees were complying to social distancing rules

After Using altHR: 

  • The company used altHR Status Check-In to enable managers to stay on top of caring about employees. Every Monday at 9am, employees are asked questions about their physical and mental wellbeing. This has been able to provide insights to the client in better understanding their team’s productivity and motivation levels. With this, the HR department has also been able to organise team building activities to help boost employee morale.
  • altHR Spaces helps to manage, track, and monitor the occupancy rate of rooms or locations around the office. Managers are able to maintain safe social distancing measures at work by controlling the maximum number of people in a given space all the time without the need for manual monitoring.
  • altHR Rostering allows managers to schedule their employees’ working days effectively with the drag and drop feature as per their Business Continuity Plan (BCP) requirements. The client does an alternate week (Team A, Team B) arrangement for employees and this has been done seamlessly using altHR. Besides, employees can also view their schedules anytime, anywhere using the altHR mobile app.
