Malaysian Beverage Company Saved Over 2,600 Hours Annually by Using altHR HRMS to Manage Staff

Company Profile:

The client is a famous tea beverage brand in Malaysia with more than 25 outlets nationwide. Launched just over 3 years ago, the company achieved a solid footing in the Malaysian F&B industry. The company has around 120 employees comprising a mix of full-time workers (35%) and part-time workers (65%). 

Past Hurdles:

Leading hundreds of employees across Malaysia is challenging. The company struggled with a loss of productivity over the years dealing with inefficient and complicated HR administrative tasks. The challenges include: 

  • Each outlet manager had to arrange shifts manually using Excel spreadsheets 
  • Managers had to notify and confirm each worker’s shifts manually and redo schedules if there were any changes
  • Physical punch cards of all branch-based part time employees manually tabulated for payroll purposes
  • Sales teams were unable to keep up with changing business materials as they carried out-of-date physical proposals when meeting potential investors and franchisees

After Using altHR:

The company chose altHR as their HRMS in order to digitalise their HR function as well as the sales team. As a result: 

  • altHR Rostering replaced Excel spreadsheets used to schedule employee shifts. Managers now take 2 hours less on average per week to schedule shifts with the drag and drop feature (25 outlets * 2 hours/week * 4.4 weeks/month = 220 hours saved per month)

  • altHR Sales Kit makes sharing the latest company brochures and materials more convenient for the business development team. Any changes made can be shared immediately to the sales teams without printing delays
