It's that time of year again — the time to search for your receipts, check your EA forms, and file for tax returns with the Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN).
Previously, we've covered the important dates to note when it comes to preparing EA Forms for your employees, as well as important things to note when it comes to filing your taxes for the first time.
But today, we'll be quick and direct to the point. If you clicked on this article, you're probably reading this because you are still yet to file your taxes. Here's what you need to know.
When filing your taxes for the Year of Assessment 2022, the deadlines as set by the LHDN are as following:
If you're panicking while reading the dates above for Form BE, fret not — there is still time left to file your taxes. The LHDN offers a grace period of 15 days from the deadline when filing via the e-filing method on the MyTax portal.
This means that the effective deadline to file your tax returns with Form BE is effectively the 15th of May 2023.
Meanwhile, it's important to note that for companies, limited liability partnerships, trust bodies, and co-operative societies, the deadline to file tax return forms is set within 7 months from the date following the close of the accounting period. This period constitutes the basis period for the year of assessment (more details here).

Manually keeping track of HR processes like leave entitlements and performance reviews for employees can be a challenging process for employers and HR professionals — but it doesn’t have to be.
You’ll be able to handle the more complex aspects of leave policies, such as the different entitlements for different groups of employees based on tenure with the company, marital status, levels, carry-forward balances, replacement leave policy, and even leave reports. There are even options for automatic carry-forward leave balances, or custom limits you can set.
And of course, all of that works seamlessly with the other modules in the new normal, such as Highlights, Documents, and Expense tracking.
